Operation Freedom Ride is a dog and cat adoption organization that is entirely foster based. We rescue animals locally and also make trips to the south to transport them to NY from southern shelters to find homes. We rely entirely on donations to run and entirely on fosters to help us save animals.

As an entirely foster-based animal adoption organization, we focus on rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats in need. Our programs and projects aim to provide a safe and loving environment for animals while also educating the community about the importance of adoption and fostering.

Community Involvement

We actively engage with the community to raise awareness about the benefits of pet adoption and fostering. By collaborating with local organizations and individuals, we strive to create a network of support for our cause.

Fostering Education

We believe in the power of education, which is why we provide resources and guidance to our fosters. Through early education and training, we ensure that our fosters are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide the best care for the animals in their care.

Transportation Assistance

One of our key initiatives involves organizing and conducting trips to southern shelters to transport animals in need to our location in NY. This allows us to save more lives and give these animals a chance to find loving forever homes.

Support for Animal Rescues

Our commitment extends beyond our organization as we actively support and collaborate with other animal rescues. By working together, we can make a greater impact and save more lives.

Collaborative Adoption Events

We organize and participate in adoption events to connect animals with potential adopters. These events not only facilitate adoptions but also promote the joy of pet ownership and the satisfaction of giving an animal a second chance at a happy life.

Advocacy and Policy Influence

Advocacy and policy influence play a crucial role in our mission. We strive to advocate for animal welfare and influence policies that support the well-being of animals in our community and beyond.
